Founded in 2012, XNSPY is a mobile device monitoring application for children under 18 and employees.
Its developer, based in the United States, markets it to companies with a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy. But using XNSPY is legal for spying on corporate-owned technology.
Like Most Leading Parental Control Apps, it supports Android and iOS. It allows you to avoid rooting or jailbreaking while maintaining essential elements like call recording, SMS monitoring, and geo-fencing.
Available in three subscriptions, XNSPY has competitive flat rates. Its licenses limit the connection to a single device. And his plans have some insurance against the buyer's remorse.

Judging by XNSPY reviews on Sitejabber and Trustpilot, it hasn't won the hearts of half of its users. Read on to find out if he deserves the numerous neutral and negative testimonies he has received over the years.

XNSPY is distinguished by its ability to offer comprehensive monitoring and remote control of target devices.
While the promise of remote monitoring and control is appealing, technical limitations, especially on non-rooted devices, can reduce the effectiveness of some features.
XNSPY offers detailed monitoring of communications, including text messages, emails, and social media activities.
The communication tracking feature is a major asset, but relying on the root for full social media access can be a disadvantage.

XNSPY provides tracking tools to understand the daily activities and movements of the target device.

These features provide a clear view of the target device's online habits and physical movements, although accuracy may vary.

XNSPY provides access to media files and applications installed on the target device.
Access to media files and applications enhances the understanding of device usage, but functionality may be hampered by technical issues.

Just below the call recording option, you'll see the remote control feature, which includes the Record Tour, Erase Phone, Lock Phone, and Take a Screenshot features.

As we saw earlier, the environment recording function did not work for the Android test device.
The Take Screenshot feature is only for rooted devices, according to the XNSPY compatibility page.
For this part, I tested the phone lock function.
After clicking on the function, a window allowed me to choose a password for the target device. For simplicity, I used the numbers 111222.

The log shows that XNSPY successfully delivered the order.

In the target device, the XNSpy command successfully locked the phone.

This feature can come in handy if you want your kids to focus on their studies, or if your employee loses the company phone.
General conclusion
XNSPY offers a range of features for monitoring and controlling mobile devices. However, the dependence on root access for some key features and the occasional technical issue may limit its usefulness in some scenarios.
Despite these limitations, XNSPY remains a solid option for basic tracking and surveillance needs.

Here's a quick overview of XnSpy's pricing, you can pay either monthly, quarterly, or annually using a:
If you want to target another smartphone or tablet halfway through your subscription, you can change the device once at no cost. But every time you do it afterwards, you'll have to shell out $10.
With respect to the money-back guarantee, the company can consider refund requests within 10 days of the purchase date.

Spy apps have a reputation for being a bit difficult to install.

This is because they require special permissions that regular applications don't have and require more installation steps.
In this section, I'm going to look at how XNSPY behaved during installation on the test device.
Overall, the installation of XnSpy went smoothly on the Android device tested.
The entire process is described in the XNSPY guide, and the app provided clear instructions on what to do.
There are no remote installation options available for Android with XnSpy.
You need to have physical access to the target device for around 10 minutes to complete the entire process. However, other than that, I managed to install the application without a problem.
The process of installing XnSpy on iOS is very different and more complicated.
If the target device is not jailbroken, you should first download XNSPY on an iTunes-ready PC or Mac and perform a manual backup via USB. It's obviously much more complicated. You can read more about this in the XNSPY No-Jailbreak Guide.
There is an option to remotely install XnSpy, but only in theory. You can install the XNSPY app remotely if two-factor authentication isn't enabled on the target device (which is the case with newer iPhones) and if the iCloud backup feature is enabled. This is because the application controls your iCloud account, not the phone itself.
However, in reality, you need physical access to the device because you would have to pass 2-factor authentication and manually enable iCloud backup.
The XNSPY iOS Installation Guide Will tell you more about it.
XNSPY cannot be detected. It is an industry standard for spy applications to have a concealment function, and in that respect, XNSPY is up to the task.
Setting up XNSPY is easy, hassle-free, and only takes about 10 minutes, although installing iOS is a bit more complicated.
XNSPY offers time tracking and employee activity monitoring, allowing small and medium business owners to monitor email, app, and website usage. This software helps identify unproductive work behaviors and optimizes time management. Additionally, by monitoring communication and access to websites, XNSPY can help maintain a secure and productive work environment.
XNSPY offers customer support through its website, offering email support and a remote support service. Users can get advice and solutions to their problems by accessing the help section of the XNSPY website or by contacting the support team directly. XNSPY is committed to providing responsive customer service to ensure an optimal user experience and effective use of the software.
XNSPY has a few features that didn't work for me, but some did. My overall experience using this spy app is a mixture of good and bad points, so you should expect the same if you decide to give this spy app a try.
With XNSPY's features, the essentials — like call logs, text messages, and some analytics — all work without root, which is admittedly very convenient. However, it is up to you to see if this is enough to justify their price and false advertising.
