What is Dux-Soup?

An image that shows Dux-Soup’s homepage.

Simply put, Dux-Soup is a company that provides theLinkedIn automation.

Founded in 2015, we can say that this firm has veteran status.

Over all these years in business, they have created a substantial user base, for which I congratulate them.

If you visit their official site, you will be able to see the audacity of some of their claims.

For example, they're proud to be the first trusted tool for LinkedIn automation.

They promise to help you by relieving you of the burden of finding qualified leads.

How does Dux-Soup work?

The process is relatively easy. The tool automatically engages in dialogue with the leads you choose on LinkedIn. It also approves their skills, sends them connection requests and sends them multiple personalized messages.

The tool is supposed to do all of this for you from your browser, while you have full access to all the activities on your LinkedIn profile.

This description is theirs version of how it all works. Now let's see if there is any merit to this.

Get started with Dux-Soup

To use this automation tool, you need to go to their website and click on the Get Started button. From there, the site will take you to the page with all the pricing plans. There is also a free version, which I will tell you about in a few moments.

Then, you can click the “Get Started” button again, which will take you to the Chrome online store, where you can install the extension.

Truth be told, I'm not the biggest fan of Chrome extensions like this because you never know if they're compromising your sensitive data or not.

For this reason, I chose not to install it. However, I tried to sign up for the service. Here's what the process looks like:

A screenshot of the sign-up process on Dux-Soup’s website.

As you can see, they immediately ask you to sign up with your Google account. They gave me no other choice.

Who is Dux-Soup for?

The Dux-Soup tool can be used by anyone. Whether you are self-employed, small or large businesses, as long as you are prospecting, you may need Dux-Soup. Businesses can incorporate it into their sales strategies to increase their opportunities.

Dux-Soup offers the same general functionalities in each package.

The ones you get depend on how advanced your campaign is and how many additional features you need.

1. Prospecting

Prospecting is one of the main reasons why most users get Dux-Soup. It takes on the heaviest tasks when it comes to finding leads and connecting with them.

Dux-Soup finds LinkedIn profiles that fit your needs. It sends them automatic messages, which you can personalize, so that leads don't feel like they're receiving messages from a machine. The platform also sends automatic requests for connections.

The software can mark profiles, and the most advanced packages allow you to do this automatically. Dux-Soup targets these profiles to get the best prospecting results. You can enter criteria to tell the software what to look for and who meets your needs.

Be as specific as you want in your search criteria. You can include experience, job titles, location, connection levels on LinkedIn, and more.

Viewing profiles also shows leads that you are looking at them. This increases the likelihood that they will view them and try to connect with you, and that they will accept any connection requests you send them.

Dux-Soup makes it easy to export profile information to your CRM when looking for leads. It even scans profiles for you.

Above all, automating prospecting allows you to save time and significantly reduce the manual effort required to find quality leads.

2. Awareness raising

Awareness-raising is essential to any campaign. You need to engage with leads to stay in touch with them, just like you would for a marketing campaign. Awareness increases your chances of recruiting the right person and connecting with people who can help you grow your business.

Dux-Soup's tagging feature is an asset for you. It allows you to keep track of your leads, so you can follow them up later and maintain contact.

Dux-Soup has an automatic tracking function for Turbo Tiers. This feature allows you to continue your outreach efforts without having to spend additional time manually.

As with prospecting, you can personalize follow-up messages and messages for initial connections. Dux-Soup also sends InMails to profiles you want to connect with.

It can also automatically save profile information to a PDF so you can have it handy when you need it later.

3. Auto-filtering

Filtering allows you to connect with people on LinkedIn who meet your needs. It ensures that you only interact with people who can help your business and brand. Filtering places relevant leads higher up your list so you can contact them sooner and avoid gaps in recruiting or blocking your campaign.

On LinkedIn, with Dux-Soup, you can filter based on job seekers, influencers, premium members, and other keywords. These filters help you find the right person for the right job.

You can also filter the marked profiles and review the ones you saved at the right time. The organization of Dux-Soup makes it possible to group together all the people you are interested in, so that you can contact them if necessary.

Dux-Soup also allows you to create your own custom filters. Every business has unique needs, and Dux-Soup gives you all the tools you need to make the software work specifically for yours.

4. Research Management

When looking for leads, you need to make sure that your profiles are organized on LinkedIn.

Without that organization, you spend more time looking and less time connecting. Dux-Soup's profile organization tool allows you to make the right connections more quickly.

Dux-Soup's organization features allow you to ignore profiles you've already viewed. This saves you from wasting time that you could spend making new connections and maintaining the ones that are valuable to you.

Bookmark and take notes on profiles so you know why you visited or communicated with them. These labels are useful when you need someone to fill a position later. With organized labels and notes, you can easily search for any profile without a problem.

Dux-Soup has an automatic tagging function for its most expensive formulas. You can even record manual profile visits, so you don't miss anyone later.

5. Importing and Exporting Data

When you need to share your discoveries with others in your business, Dux-Soup can help you download, import, and export. These features make it easy to collaborate with your team about your leads.

You can download information from profiles to make finding and sharing information more efficient. The search function allows you to find leads based on:

  • Tags
  • Notes
  • History of jobs and studies
  • Skills lists
  • Profile data visited

With Quickscan, you can easily export your search results. You can also import your CSV files into your CRM, making it easy to find data. This way, everyone involved can access the information they need to make the best decisions.

6. Automated tracking

Automated follow-ups are an essential element of prospecting and working closely with Dux-Soup. They keep you at the top of the leads and show your interest in them, which encourages them to stay in touch.

You can send automated follow-ups via LinkedIn, but Dux-Soup goes further. You can also set up drip campaigns on LinkedIn.

Drip campaigns reduce your chances of being banned when you respond to messages automatically. If you respond too quickly each time, LinkedIn may let you know that you are using automated software. By setting Dux-Soup to optimally delay responses, you reduce your risk of being banned.

With automated follow-ups, you can keep track of who responded to your messages. When you receive a response, you can then automatically stop your campaign for this prospect.

8. Integrations

Dux-Soup integrates with both HubSpot and Zapier to optimize your workflow. This allows you to get even more out of the platform when you're not using it alone.

With workflow integrations, you can record lead profile data and log automated actions. You can also use these integrations to trigger automated profile visits.

You get notifications through Zapier and HubSpot, which means you don't have to switch platforms to interact. You can receive LinkedIn messages through these platforms and respond more effectively. You'll also see when a connection accepts your request.

Customer Support

Dux Soup offers a very good level of support to its customers, which means it has a live chat on its website and email support. You can even request remote support calls where you can talk to a person.

These remote support calls last up to 15 minutes, but we think that's more than enough for you to get your question answered.

They also organize stimulus sessions and technical sessions where you can incorporate more complex solutions and strategies for your growth on LinkedIn.

Another aspect of this LinkedIn growth tool that we love is its community.

Support can be found in their community, which means that if you don't get the answers you need through their customer support, you can always tap into the community forum, and see if anyone else has had problems similar to yours. You can also do it through their Facebook page.

Alternatives to Dux Soup

  • SalesRobot
  • Encounter Alfred
  • Cleverly

1. SalesRobot

SalesRobot is a powerful cloud-based automation tool, designed explicitly for cold prospecting on LinkedIn, allowing users to easily create elaborate campaigns that work on full automatic pilot.

Since it has numerous options for automating various activities, SalesRobot is a LinkedIn automation tool that is perfect for a wide range of users, from lead generation agencies to start-ups, sales teams, recruitment agencies, and individual small business owners.

It also has the best customization options with custom templates. It also comes with an email enrichment feature to make the task easier.

Salesrobot currently only offers two pricing plans. However, it's not too expensive, as you get top-notch approach and prospecting functions in one plan!

As we said at the beginning, we looked for alternatives that included a free trial. Salesrobot therefore offers you a free 14-day trial to test if the product is right for you.

For now, Salesrobot offers several pricing plans:

  • Advanced to $79 per month per account paid annually.
  • Professional at $179 per month per account paid annually.

And as we said before, we believe that before using a product, you have to be able to try it out. Salesrobot comes with a free 14-day trial, giving you plenty of time to try out all the features and decide if Salesrobot is what you're looking for.

2. Meet Alfred

Meet Alfred, formerly known as Meet Leonard, is a tool that is supposed to facilitate your lead generation process through automation.

Meet Alfred is different from other tools because it can tackle multiple social media at once, making it a great option for multi-channel campaigns.

Meet Alfred is offered with two different pricing plans:

  • Personal at $29 per month;
  • Business at $59 per month;
  • Business at $299 per month.

In case of annual billing, you benefit from a discount.

It is also possible to do a free trial for 14 days, without having to provide credit card information.

3. Cleverly

What makes Cleverly different from the other software on our list is that it's not a one-size-fits-all tool, but a lead generation agency with a comprehensive approach to campaigns and awareness on LinkedIn.

As such, she offers solutions for lead generation on LinkedIn, advertising on LinkedIn, and candidate recruitment. Additionally, Cleverly's services include a course on lead generation on LinkedIn and the ability to white label their product.

Price is a major issue with Cleverly.

Again, as it is an agency rather than a single tool, its fees are at the high end of the range.

Cleverly has separate pricing plans for each of the services it offers. When it comes to Linkedin-based services, the fees are as follows:

  • LinkedIn lead generation services are offered as part of a Silver and Gold plan, at $297 and $397 per month respectively, and as part of a personalized plan:
  • LinkedIn Advertising offers a $997/month retargeting plan, a $2997/month scaling plan, and a customized plan for businesses;
  • LinkedIn Recruiting costs $397/month.

How many automatic follow-ups can you send with Dux-Soup?

Thanks to the last automatic tracking feature from Dux-Soup, you can set up and send a total of 11 automatic follow-ups for a campaign. You can set up follow-ups with various templates, based on your campaign, and set an appropriate amount of time between each message so as not to spam them.

Does Dux-Soup stop the messages if I get a response?

Yes, Dux-Soup has an automatic indexing feature that uses a system tag to find out who responded to your messages.

Final Verdict

Dux-Soup works for individuals as well as for large businesses, although its paid versions offer users a lot more.

We recommend Dux-Soup to any business looking to save time through automatically generated leads and connections on LinkedIn. The platform is also ideal for any business that needs help maintaining the reach and organization of their system to reduce manual efforts to convert leads.

Here is my comparison of best LinkedIn automation tools to give you other solutions.

  • A great way to extend your reach on LinkedIn
  • It's easy to forget it and make it work in the background.
  • Attractive pricing
  • Potentially violations of LinkedIn's terms and conditions
  • May cause your profile account to be blocked
